Branding Your Business To Attract Higher Paying Customers

Q4 is a great time to revisit branding your business

As the end of 2021 slowly creeps our direction, it might be the right time to schedule some time on your calendar to take a look at your branding for your business. You’ve no doubt learned a few things over the course of the year – both about your own company and about your target demographic – so it’s important to check in and make sure that your branding is still in alignment!

But if you aren’t a branding pro yourself, where do you start?

Especially if you’re looking to level things up next year in terms of how you position your brand, you need to start by checking in with your brand identity.

Ask yourself questions like:

  • What is my customer struggling with?
  • What is the solution that I have to offer?
  • Why am I the perfect fit for my customer to help them overcome their struggle?

These will all help you to identify what your customer is going through, how you help them, and therefore how to position your brand messaging.

Assessing your brand visuals

That’s the first step. Next, we need to take a look at your brand visuals. This is what most people think of when they hear “branding your business”. That includes your logos, colors, fonts, imagery and patterns and textures (if those are applicable to your brand).

Some questions to consider here:

  • Do the colors feel aligned with the customer transformation you are trying to provide? If you aren’t sure, we wrote about choosing brand colors in this article.
  • Do your fonts fit the vibe you’re going for? Find a few of our favorite Canva fonts in this article
  • Are your imagery, patterns and textures intentional and aligned with your customer experience?

If you find that things aren’t aligned with your vision and your ideal customer experience, then it might be time for a rebrand. What are your options?

If you only need to make minor adjustments, then you don’t need to worry about a full rebrand. This might mean making adjustments to your color palette, refining your existing logo, or narrowing down the types of imagery that you use.
